The coroner’s office has identified the man as Sergio Medrano.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death A: Ischemic Heart Disease

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Traumatic Brain Injury and Post-Traumatic Epilepsy and Diabetes Mellitus

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 1:31 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 29.

This was classified as a homicide because the traumatic brain injury in the past was the result of the act of another individual.
