(L.A.) Sean Slade II, 30, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Sean Slade II.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: Hyperthermia

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 3:56 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 21, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs. This is considered an accidental overdose.

Hyperthermia refers to overheating, possibly heat stroke.
