The Government of Los Angeles County is notifying the public about the death of a 67-year-old Asian male that occurred in a shed.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Sareth Sin.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Carbon Monoxide Toxicity

RIP SARETH SIN (August 4, 1953 – December 25, 2020)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 12:11 p.m.

The decedent’s name is possibly Cambodian or Hmong.

He died upright, seated in a plastic chair, on Christmas Day. He was asphyxiated by fumes from the generator he ran to chase the desert chill out of a cannabis greenhouse on the eastern edge of L.A. County.
