Campaign confirms: Bernie Sanders did suffer a heart attack!
In a statement, doctors for Bernie Sanders state the 2020 candidate suffered a “myocardial infarction” — another term for a heart attack.
His treating physicians said: “After presenting to an outside facility with chest pain, Sen. Sanders was diagnosed with a myocardial infarction.”
Sanders was released from a Las Vegas hospital after having a procedure to unblock a coronary artery. The campaign described his time in the hospital as “uneventful with good expected progress.”
The candidate is 78 years old. He was treated at Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center.
