Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 15-year-old Hispanic male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the teenage boy as Samuel Salas of North Hollywood.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Head

RIP SAMUEL SALAS (May 18, 1990 – August 14, 2005)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:45 p.m.

The decedent was shot by gang members of August 13, Saturday, at around 11:00. p.m. He was with a physically disabled friend, whom gang members apparently intended to beat up.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Samuel Salas” in public records.
