Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old Caucasian female that occurred at St. Joseph Medical Center.
The coroner’s office identified the woman as Samantha Marie Owens, resident of East Magnolia Boulevard in Burbank 91501.

Cause of Death A: Multiple Organ Failure
Cause of Death B: Benzodiazepine Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 10:35 a.m.
This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
The decedent had OD’ed at her home on October 8, Thursday, and was taken to a hospital two miles away, where she survived a few more days.
