(L.A.) Salvador Hernandez, 33, Died in Jail

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Hispanic male that occurred at Men’s Central Jail.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Salvador Hernandez.

RIP SALVADOR HERNANDEZ (December 20, 1989 – January 11, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.

The decedent was found lifeless inside his cell.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 21, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
