(L.A.) Salome Rodriguez, Jr., 23, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 23-year-old Hispanic male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the young man as Salome Rodriguez, Jr.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 9:37 a.m.

The decedent was fatally shot in Pomona by LAPD officer Henry Solis, who escaped to Mexico.

Solis was arrested by Mexican authorities in Ciudad Juarez in May 2015 and later deported back to the United States.

In February 2020, Solis was found guilty of the second-degree murder after a jury deliberated for about two days. In March 2020, he was sentenced to 40 years to life in prison.
