(L.A.) Salen Elghara, 49, Died From Drugs

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Salem Elgahra and listed his race/ethnicity as Latino.

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Effects

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 8:50 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 31, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

The government investigator had initially spelled the decedent’s forename as Salen before later inexplicably changing it to Salem.

Both Salem (letter “m”) and Elgara are names associated with the Arab world. This person went by “Sal Elghara.”

There is a California birth record for a SALEN ELGHARA, who was born on August 25, 1974, in Los Angeles County. His mother’s maiden name is Delgado.
