(L.A.) Rosa Castaneda, 65, Died on the 101 Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 65-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred on on the Hollywood Freeway

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Rosa Castaneda.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday night.

The decedent was hit by a vehicle on the northbound Hollywood Freeway just north of Santa Monica Boulevard.

California Highway Patrol heard about the incident at around 9:24 p.m.
