(L.A.) Roosevelt Vallery, 56, Died From Drug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Roosevelt Vallery.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Deep Vein Thrombosis and Polysubstance Abuse

RIP ROOSEVELT VALLERY (August 26, 1967 – July 29, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 1:13 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 18, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
