(L.A.) Ronald Ramirez, 38, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Ronald Ramirez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Intoxication by the Combined Effects of Fentanyl and Ethanol

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 30, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, substance overdose.
