(L.A.) Ronald Pope, 69, Died in a Ditch

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 69-year-old Black male that occurred in a ditch.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Ronald Pope.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine and Cocaine Toxicity

RIP RONALD POPE (1956 – August 15, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 15, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
