(L.A.) Roger Perez, 48, Died at a Shelter

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Latino male that occurred at a shelter.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Roger Perez.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 12:14 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 8, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
