(L.A.) Roberto Chamale, 48, Died From Gunshots

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Latin American male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Roberto Chamale.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP ROBERTO CHAMALE (January 14, 1954 – March 10, 2002)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 12:08 a.m.

The decedent was standing out in front of his residence at 5409 Dobbs Street late Saturday night. Suspect approached the victim and asked, “Where you from?” Suspect then opened fire and shot the victim multiple times. The victim’s son was also shot in the hand.

Neither victim nor son is a gang member, but this has been classified as a gang-related shooting.

The wounds were to the victim’s chest and arm.
