(L.A.) Robert Castellanos, 35, Died on the Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Latino male that occurred on the 118 Freeway in Pacoima.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Robert Castellanos.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 3:06 a.m.

The decedent was apparently the driver of a sports car, possibly a Dodge Challenger, that overturned on the freeway after collidng wtih a pick-up truck.

Video description: One person lost their life in a two-vehicle freeway traffic collision early Sunday morning.

At around 3:00 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department and California Highway Patrol responded to an auto rollover on the eastbound lanes of the 118 Freeway, just east of the Laurel Canyon off-ramp in Pacoima.

The incident involved a collision between a pickup truck and a sports car. One male was found trapped inside the wrecked sports car and was determined to be unresponsive and not breathing.
