Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Robbie Vivas.

Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Norton.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Back

RIP ROBBIE A VIVAS (June 9, 1977 – April 30, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday night.

The decedent was shot in the Skid Row area of downtown L.A.

LAPD responded for an assault with a deadly weapon at around 11:10 p.m. at Fifth and Crocker streets.
