(L.A.) Richard Mossontte, 74, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 74-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Richard Mossontte.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Intoxication

RIP RICHARD MOSSONTTE (September 24, 1950 – February 7, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 4:52 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 19, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
