(L.A.) Richard Mercado, 42, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Richard Mercado.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP RICHARD MERCADO (November 13, 1980 – August 14, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 3:30 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 12, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.
