Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Black male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Richard Mendia.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP RICHARD MENDIA (July 5, 1995 – September 9, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 7:13 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 21, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.
