(L.A.) Richard Lopez, 33, Died From Drug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Richard Lopez.

Cause of Death: Effects of Heroin and Codeine

RIP RICHARD LOPEZ (September 25, 1991 – January 2, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 11:01 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 25, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
