(L.A.) Richard Linares, 53, Died in a Stairwell

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old male that occurred in a stairwell in Long Beach.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Richard Linares and listed his race/ethnicity as White/Caucasian + Latino.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Intoxication by the Combined Effects of Fentanyl, Cocaine, and Ethanol

Other Significant Condition: Respiratory Viral Infection (Human Rhinovirus/Enterovirus)

RIP RICHARD LINARES (August 31, 1972 – November 16, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polysubstance overdose.
