(L.A.) Richard Chappell, 55, Died From Fentanyl

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Richard Chappell.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Toxicity

RIP RICHARD CHAPPELL (December 5, 1967 – October 24, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 10:04 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on January 12, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drug.
