(L.A.) Reuben Martinez, 53, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Reuben Martinez.

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-August, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The government investigator had initially given the decedent’s forename as Rueben.
