Red Velvet Concert in Los Angeles [REDMARE]

Award-winning South Korean girl group Red Velvet will kick off their first-ever solo U.S. tour at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium tonight. And they will deliver a second performance tomorrow night!

The concert is expected to last 2 hours and 30 minutes — with no intermission. It will be performed in Korean and English. This concert is suitable for any age. All bags will be subject to search upon entering the venue.

Red Velvet is further scheduled to perform in the cities of Dallas, Miami, Chicago and Newark in the next two weeks.

ABOUT RED VELVET

Red Velvet consists of members Irene (leader), Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri. They debuted in South Korea in 2014 with “Happiness.” The single became the best-selling single by a girl group in South Korea for the first half of 2015.

Their first full-length album, The Red, was released in September 2015, and included the popular lead single “Dumb Dumb.” The album debuted at number one on Billboard’s World Albums Chart as well as on various Korean music charts. In September 2016, Red Velvet released their third mini-album Russian Roulette, topping Korean music charts, earning them their first music show win, and peaking at number two on Billboard’s World Digital Songs Chart. In 2017, the releases of their fourth mini-album Rookie in February, their summer mini-album The Red Summer in July, and their second full album Perfect Velvet in November all achieved first place on Billboard’s World Albums Chart and earned Red Velvet “top girl group” status in South Korea. Their Japanese debut album #Cookie Jar was released on July 4, 2018, which debuted at the 3rd spot on Oricon Weekly Albums and sold more than 26,000 copies in the first week of its release. Their second summer mini-album Summer Magic, which was released this past August, topped South Korean music charts, earned the group first place on music shows, and debuted at number three on Billboard’s World Albums Chart.

THE VENUE

Pasadena Civic Auditorium is located at 300 E. Green Street, Pasadena, California 91101, it is the centerpiece of the Pasadena Convention Center campus. The 3,000-seat venue is on the National Register of Historic Places and was designed in Mediterranean Revival architecture.
