(L.A.) Raynoldo Lozano, 33, Died in a Field

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Latino male that occurred in a field.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Raynoldo Lozano.

STATUS: The decedent’s body is ready to be released. Ruling by the deputy medical examiner is deferred pending additional investigation.

Manner and cause of death will be added to this page when it becomes available.

If the DME has ordered toxicological screening, the next public update may take three to five months.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 12:08 p.m.

The government investigator noted that the decedent was homeless.

In another recent case, the Department of Medical Examiner initially listed the death of a homeless person as occuring in a field before later changing the place of death to encampment.
