(L.A.) Raymond Ross, 71, Died in a Shelter

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 71-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a shelter.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Raymond Ross.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Hypertensive Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Methamphetamine, History of Emphysema, Hepatitis C, Chronic Tobacco Use

RIP RAYMOND ROSS (October 11, 1952 – November 4, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 9:10 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 20, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the meth. This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
