RIP RAMONA ALONZO (June 18, 1955 – April 22, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 3:01 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 10, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the meth.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.

Methamphetamine use has been associated with a range of serious cardiovascular complications, including the development of pulmonary embolism. The mechanism behind this association may involve meth-induced vasoconstriction and the promotion of a hypercoagulable state, which can lead to the formation of clots that may travel to the lungs.
