(L.A.) Porsha Jackson, 41, Died in a Tent

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old Black female that occurred in a tent.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Porsha Jackson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Acetyl Fentanyl, Phencyclidine, Cocaine, and Methamphetamine

RIP PORSHA JACKSON (November 22, 1981 – July 23, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 6:52 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 29, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.

Drug deaths are frequently classified as accidents under the assumption that the users didn’t intend to kill themselves.
