(L.A.) Phillip Hom, 71, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 71-year-old Asian male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Phillip Hom.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Recent Cocaine Use

RIP PHILLIP HOM (July 26, 1952 – May 10, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 8:18 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 30, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the coke.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
