Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 57-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Philip Acosta. Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Rogers.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 2:18 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 10, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
