(L.A.) Pedro Mendez Cruz, 45, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Pedro Mendez Cruz.

Cause of Death: Effects of Ethanol and Fentanyl

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 5:48 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on April 24, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
