Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old White/Caucasian male.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Paul Knox.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

The decedent was from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and had been working in Los Angeles for a few years as a sound designer.
I am a friend of Mr. Knox. I have been unsuccessful at finding any news articles covering this horrific tragedy. From what little I have been told, the incident occured in the Arlington Heights district west of downtown at around 8am on the 25th of September. Apparently, Mr. Knox was walking his dog to a neighborhood coffee shop when he was confronted and shot in broad daylight. If anyone has any links to news of this event, I ask that you please post it here.
I’m also a friend of Paul’s. The Citizen app has a real time response posted by neighbors and people in the area. For some reason there hasn’t been any news on the event and the LAPD hasn’t publicly asked anyone for information.
Apparently an arrest has been made in the case, but I have no further details at the moment.
Please keep us updated. I’ve known Paul since 6th grade. What a disgusting, deplorable act. RIP Paul.
