(L.A.) Paul Cavarretta, 47, Died at a Freeway Embankment

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a freeway embankment.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Paul Cavarretta.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Effects

RIP PAUL CAVARRETTA (September 1, 1977 – September 16, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 6:08 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 27, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The government investigator did indeed spell the decedent’s surname as Cavarretta, and not Cavaretta.
