(L.A.) Oscar Guizar, 32, Died on a Bike Path

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old Latino male that occurred on a bike path.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Oscar Guizar.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Ethanol, Fentanyl, and Methamphetamine

RIP OSCAR GUIZAR (November 21, 1992 – March 7, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 9:38 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-May, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, substance overdose.
