(L.A.) Norman Navrude, 86, Died in a Garage

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 86-year-old Caucasian male that occurred in a garage.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Norman Navrude.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Thermal Injuries and Smoke Inhalation

Other Significant Conditions: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes Mellitus

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 9:53 a.m.

The decedent was the victim of a fire in the garage of a two-story duplex in Westchester. His body was found after firefighters extinguished Sunday’s fire in a garage to the rear of the single-family dwelling with a small, attached occupancy at 8042 S. Alverstone Avenue, one block west of Sepulveda Boulevard.
