RIP NOELLE BURKHARDT (February 27, 1985 – June 30, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 10:57 a.m.

“Clinical” suggests that the Department of Medical Examiner did not order tox screening after the decedent’s death, but instead relied on her medical record for the statement of her use of amphetamines.

Amphetamine use has been associated with an increased risk of intracerebral hemorrhagic stroke due to its stimulant effects on the cardiovascular system. These stimulants can elevate blood pressure and cause vasoconstriction, which may lead to damage of the blood vessels in the brain. Over time, such damage can weaken the vessel walls, making them more susceptible to rupture and bleeding. Additionally, amphetamines can increase the risk of other conditions, such as arrhythmias and severe hypertension, further contributing to the likelihood of hemorrhagic stroke.
