(L.A.) Nita Loggins, 56, Died at a Rear Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Black female that occurred at a rear residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Nita Loggins.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: History of Congestive Heart Failure, Chronic Kidney Disease, Atrial Fibrillation, Chronic Tobacco Use, Recent Cocaine Use

RIP NITA LOGGINS (November 7, 1968 – January 20, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 7:30 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 27, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
