(L.A.) Niko Viana, 32, Died in a Vacant Lot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vacant lot.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Niko Viana.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Alcohol, Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: History of Schizophrenia

RIP NIKO KAVER VIANA (September 17, 1990 – June 30, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 4:10 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 17, presumably after the results of tox screening came back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, substance overdose.
