(L.A.) Nick Engel-Haussener, 38, Died in a Public Bathroom

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a public bathroom.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Nick Engel Haussener.

Height: 6 feet / Weight: 200 pounds

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Drug Toxicity

RIP NICK A ENGEL-HAUSSENER (November 25, 1986 – January 10, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 1:40 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on March 21, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polydrug overdose.

Nick Engel-Haussener was arrested in December 2006 in Ventura County for the following crimes:

  • 11359 – Possess Marijuana/Hashish For Sale
  • 11360(A) – Sell/Furnish Marijuana/Hashish
  • 12020(A) – Possess/Manufacture/Sell Dangerous Weapon

Nick Alexander Engel-Haussener was booked in Ventura County in August 2013 for the following offenses:

  • 11350(a) Level:Felony Possession Of A Controlled Substance
  • 11550(a) Level:Misdemeanor Under Influence of a Controlled Substance
  • 11364.1(a) Level:Misdemeanor Possession Of Injection/ingestion Device

Nick Engel of Agoura Hills was arrested in April 2017 by the Malibu / Lost Hills Sheriff Substation for:

  • 11350(A) – Possession of Narcotic Controlled Substance

Nick Engel of Newbury Park was arrested in July 2018 for:

  • 11550(A) – Use/Under Influence Controlled Substance

Nick Alexander Engelhausener of Moorpark was arrested in Ventura County in October 2018 for the following:

  • 484(A) – Petty Theft

Nick Engel of Los Angeles was arrested on December 18, 2024, by LAPD’s Rampart Division on the charge of the following:

  • 459 – Burglary

He was cited and given probation. His next court appearance was to have been on February 18, 2025.

Engel-Haussener had been a resident of Thousand Oaks, California.
