(L.A.) Neomi Skaggs, 66, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 66-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Neomi Skaggs.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 6:16 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the COD ruling on February 4, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the meth.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
