(L.A.) Nancy Lopez, 54, Died in a Tunnel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 54-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a tunnel.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Nancy Lopez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Community-Acquired Acute Bronchopneumonia

Other Significant Condition: Methamphetamine Effects

RIP NANCY LOPEZ (August 22, 1970 – January 24, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 9:38 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late April, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
