(L.A.) Myra Vargas, 51, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at Tarzana Medical Center.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Myra Vargas.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Sequelae of Intraparenchymal Hemorrhage of Brain

Cause of Death B: Amphetamine Intoxication

Other Significant Conditions: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes Mellitus

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Friends say the decedent had been on life support for a number of days.
