(L.A.) My Nhan, 65, Shot Dead in Vehicle Outside Ballroom

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 65-year-old female of Asian ethnicity that occurred in a vehicle.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as My Nhan.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Gunshot Wounds
RIP MY NHAN (August 15, 1957 – January 21, 2023)
Nhan was from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She was leaving the ballroom with her partner to go home to prepare a Lunar New Year shrine for her ancestors when the shooter arrived and fired into their car.
Mymy Nhan was the first person shot and killed during the #MontereyPark mass shooting.
I've covered a lot of tragedies, and never imagined one would hit so close to home.
My husband's family is hurting beyond measure.

A total of 11 persons were killed during the Lunar New Year attack at the Star Ballroom Dance Studio.My Nhan succumbed outside in the parking lot. Diana Tom was transported to the hospital, where she died the following day.
