(L.A.) Monika Awadalla, 23, Died at a Freeway On-Ramp

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 23-year-old female that occurred at a freeway on-ramp.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Monika Awadalla.
STATUS: The decedent’s body is ready to be released. Ruling by the deputy medical examiner is deferred pending additional investigation.
Manner and cause of death will be added to this page when it becomes available.
If the DME has ordered toxicological screening, the next public update may take five to ten months.
RIP MONIKA GEORGE AWADALLA (May 27, 2000 – August 12, 2023)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 2:09 p.m.
The decedent’s body was found on an on-ramp to the 101 Freeway in the Chinatown area.
California Highway Patrol says the discovery was made at around 1:58 p.m. on the Alameda Street/Los Angeles Street on-ramp to the northbound freeway.
Monica Awadalla appears to have been of Egyptian heritage.
She had previously gone missing in 2017 when she was 17 years old.

She is survived by her four children.
