(L.A.) Mitchell Nelson, 59, Died From a Meth Overdose

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 59-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Mitchell Nelson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Intoxication

Other Significant Condition: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 9:54 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 16, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
