(L.A.) Mingyuan Zhang, 24, Died on a Highway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 24-year-old Asian male in Diamond Bar.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Mingyuan Zhang.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Blunt Force Traumatic Injuries
RIP MINGYUAN ZHANG (February 14, 1999 – October 10, 2023)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 2:00 a.m.
The decedent was fatally injured in a collision with a big-rig truck while riding a motorcycle on the Orange (57) Freeway.
The accident was reported at 1:46 a.m. and California Highway Patrol officers responded to the southbound freeway and Sunset Crossing where they found the motorcyclist.
L.A. County Fire Department personnel were called to the scene and pronounced Zhang dead at the scene.
A SigAlert was issued by the CHP for all lanes of the southbound freeway and officers diverted all traffic off the freeway to nearby Pomona.
The freeway was backed up for several hours.
