(L.A.) Miguel Luque, 56, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Miguel Luque and listed his race/ethnicity as Black + Latino.

Height: 5 feet 11 inches / Weight: 230 pounds

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Upper Back and Neck

RIP MIGUEL DAVID LUQUE (August 12, 1969 – October 6, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

LAPD said the shooting happened at around 3:30 p.m. by Fifth and Main streets in downtown LA. Officers were able to take the suspect into custody.

The decedent himself had a rap sheet. He served time at North Kern State Prison in Delano.
