(L.A.) Miguel Linares Galdamez, 66, Died on a Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 66-year-old Latino male that occurred on a freeway.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Miguel Linares Galdamez.

STATUS: The decedent’s body is ready to be released. Ruling by the deputy medical examiner is deferred pending additional investigation.

Manner and cause of death will be added to this page when it becomes available.

If the DME has ordered toxicological screening, the next public update may take three to five months.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday night.

State Route 110 South / 8th St Off-Ramp

California Highway Patrol at 10:32 p.m. was informed of a white sedan / four-door car blocking the #1 and #2 lanes. The driver appeared to be blacked out with his head on the steering wheel.

As of 11:11 p.m., fire department paramedics were still performing chest compressions on the patient.

By 11:35 p.m., the coroner had been informed of the death.
