(L.A.) Miguel King, 51, Died From a Head Shot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old Hispanic male.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Miguel King.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Head

RIP MIGUEL ANGEL KING (January 27, 1970 – August 14, 2021)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 5:22 p.m.

The decedent was found on a mountainside in the Angeles National Forest.

In early September 2025, online dating killer Rockim Lee Prowell (Powell) was arrested and charged for this crime.

Police revealed that Prowell had been involved in other attacks, including possibly the murder of Robert Gutierrez, who disappeared after meeting Powell in August 2023.
